Abstract

214,223. Berthet, J. L. April 9, 1923, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Generating electricity by forcing fluids through magnetic fields.-Current is obtained from the condensation of vapour produced from a liquid E in a boiler A heated by a gas or liquid circulating in a serpentine B under the influence of a pump D. The vapours from the liquid E passes through a conduit H containing an electrode J and surrounded by an electrode K, these electrodes being connected to a dynamo M. The vapour becomes electrically charged and passes into a condenser I in which a vacuum is maintained by a pump N. The vapour gives up its charge to the condenser and electric current is obtained from leads X, Y. The outlet' of the condenser is surrounded by a metal sleeve T to remove any electric charge in the condensed liquid which is conveyed back to the boiler by the pump N. A receptacle 0 is provided with a valve R to allow gas to escape.
