214,001. Curchin, H. W., and Petersen, Sir W. Jan. 17, 1923. Frames and framing.-Ships which are framed in accordance with the system described in Specification 106,124, are provided with corrugated side plating. The strong widely-spaced side frame 1, the outer edges of which are shaped to accommodate the side plating 8 attached thereto by angle bars 9, are attached to transverse deck beams 3 by brackets 2 and to the transverse members 14 of the bottom by a bilge bracket 20 and angle bar 21. In a modification, an ordinary bracket is employed in the place of the bilge bracket. Specification 210,867 also is referred to.
