Abstract

213,171. Thwaites, C. A. July 2, 1923. Coat and like hangers. - Relates to the kind comprising a yoke or shoulder support provided with a suspending hook and fitted with a clamping piece for clamping trousers or skirts to the yoke, and consists in the provision bf spiral cone-shaped springs 5 at each end of the yoke and on its upper edge, and the provision of a second hook 13 on the suspending hook for the reception of the coat hanger. The clamping piece 7 is of the usual form operated by a loop 10 engaging recesses in the curved part of arms 8. The hook 13 is so positioned, with respect to the springs 6, that the shoulders of the coat are kept out of contact with the yoke.
