Abstract

The coat hanger has two parallel bars (1,2) which are joined together by two U-shaped wire pieces (3,4). These are articulated on a pivoting notched cam (5) which is extended by a lever (7), that is used to move it. A suspension hook (8) is fixed to the upper end of the lever. The cam pivots on the horizontal upper part (11) of one wire. The upper horizontal part of the other wire (12) engages in notches (9) in the outer curved part of the cam, to lock the bars in various positions.
