Abstract

755,742. Garment hangers. TWINCO, Ltd., and LAUGHTON, M. Jan. 5, 1955 [Jan. 5, 1954], No. 236/54. Class 52(5). In a garment hanger in which the suspension hook 6 is detachable from the yoke 2, the hook has resilient bifurcated lower ends 5 which can be pressed together; inserted in an apertured boss 3 of the yoke and released so that lower shoulders 14 on the hook can engage under bearing edges on the boss. As shown the boss has two pairs of grooves 7, 8 at right angles so that the hook can be inserted in either of two positions, the grooves leading the shoulders 14 to bearing edges 9 or 10 respectively. Further shoulders 13 on the hook bear on the top of the boss. Grooves 8 have upper bearing edges 15 on which the shoulders can pivot, Fig. 7, to fold the hook down. The yoke has slots for resiliently gripping stockings, &c. and end hooks 20 for shoulder straps of garments.
