Abstract

795,813. Garment hangers. BOWYER, A. E. Feb. 10, 1956 [Dec. 1. 1954], No. 34755/54. Class 52(5) A single rod or bar 2 is shaped to serpentine form, providing slots 5 with the ends resiliently sprung together for receiving garments, and has a suspension part 6 bent up from the rod at an angle to the plane of the slots and disposed midway between the opposite ends of the device. The suspension part may form a hook or, as shown, an eye for the reception of a hook 7. One end of the rod may be bent up to form an integral hook located midway between the ends of the hanger. According to the Provisional Specification the rod sections may be of corrugated form giving the slots 5 a convoluted shape, or the garment hanger may be formed from sheet material, or the rod may be bent to provide a single slot in a vertical plane.
