Double and multiple hinges.-For reversing the swinging movement of a casement window for cleaning purposes, a quadrant hook D on a hinge flap C is in engagement with an eyeplate E on the edge of the casement during the swinging movement of the window through 90‹ about the hinge pin between the plates C, B. The hook is then disengaged from the plate E by a further opening movement of the window, and the window is then free to be turned about the hinge pin between the flaps B, A to bring the outside face of the window facing towards the room.
