Warp beams.-Each flange a, Figs. 1, 2 and 3, is provided with semicircular projections b having extensions forming wedges or inclinel ribs d coacting with correspondingly shaped surfaces e, Figs. 2 and 5, at the sides of curved wedgeblocks or key pieces c. Bolts i enter apertures in the blocks c and have square necks k entering square apertures in the flange, the heads g, which may be countersunk, abutting against the flange, and the bolts being tightened up by nuts n to cause the wedge-blocks by the interaction of the parts d', e to be forced between the beam g and its flanges to secure these together. The flanges may be of aluminium alloy.
