March 3, 1923. .Studs; sleeve-links.-Means to facilitate the insertion of studs or links of the tilting- head type comprises a spring- pressed pointed plunger d. which is normally housed within the shank a of a stud &c. and retained, therein bv the head c. When protruded, a partial rotation of the plunger causes an annular groove d<2> therein to engage with a pin a<4> in the shank, thereby holding the plunger in the position shown. The plunger may be solid or formed from a sheet-metal blank.
