Abstract

213,080. Dennis, E. H. Feb. 17, 1923. Folding models. - A toy motor car and garage are made from paper, cardboard or like flat material and may be packed flat for transport but are rigid when set up for use. The garage, Fig. 4, is made from pieces of cardboard printed to represent the walls, &c., and hinged together along the angles by strips of paper. When set up, the structure is kept rigid by the floor K which rests on small pieces of cardboard pasted on the insides of the walls. A slope J hinged to the floor can be folded up when the door E is closed. The body of the car is cut out of one piece of card which is bent along the lines a, Fig. 5, and the tabs c, d and e, f, respectively, stuck together. Metal wheels are attached to the tabs h. When opened out, the car is kept rigid by the roof and the top of the bonnet which have tabs that engage the sides of the car and prevent it from collapsing.
