Abstract

212,751. Mumford, E. M., and Butterworth, T. S. March 24, 1923. Alloys. - A mechanically strong joint in aluminium is produced by a solder consisting of an alloy of 2 per cent of aluminium, 37 per cent of zinc and 61 per cent of tin. This is coated with an alloy of 98 per cent of tin and 2 per cent of copper in order to prevent disintegration of the jcint in the presence of air or moisture.
