Moulding wheel tyres.-In the manufacture of an inner tube for tyres having walls thicker than usual and provided with transversely disposed grooves 4 on the outer surface and having a continuous ingrooved and thick tread portion 5 within which is a tube 6 containing puncturesealing liquid, an ordinary tube is inflated and used as a base or former and wrappings of rubber are applied until sufficiently thick for the sealing tube 6 to be applied; further layers of rubber are added and the whole vulcanized in a mould having ribs which form the grooves 4.
