Abstract

212,350. Hopley, F. Jan. 6, 1923. Side-car attachments.-To permit a side-car to be taken through narrow passages, the part of the chassis supporting the body is detachably connected to a part secured close to the motorcycle. The chassis comprises a tube 1, secured parallel to the cycle, and a V-shaped or like part fcrmed of tubes 6, 7 which carry the side-car wheel and are provided with sockets 10, 13 adapted to be aligned with a tube 4 and a socket 14 on the tube 1 to permit this part of the chassis to be secured to the tube 1 by detachable pins 11, 15. The tubes 6, 7 may be hinged together, their engagement with the tube 1 keeping them rigid when the parts are assembled.
