Abstract

211,983. Fitch, B. F. Dec. 5, 1922. Vehicles with removable bodies are provided with interengaging locking means and positioning members on the vehicle into which the removable body is placed. The pivoted hooks 30 are adapted to engage channel members 49 forming part of the framework of the container and are operated by rods 48 connected to a cranked transverse rod 36 operated by ratchet mechanism 39. The container is guided into the locking position by means of bevelled transverse members 20, the ends of which are extended longitudinally to form corners.
