210,503. Smyth, G. L. Oct. 30, 1922. Trap nests.-A trap nest for poultry comprises a sliding door 2 in which is pivoted a heavy-ended catch 9 coacting with a toothed plate 3, fixed to the frame 11. When the door is lifted the pivoted catch falls clear and allows the door to close upon elastic buffers 20. The plate 3 may be arranged on the door and the pivoted catch on the frame. The movement of the catch islimited by a stop 14 or by a plate covering thepivot and having a sector-shaped recess in which the catch moves. The door 2 may be held in. an inoperative position by the engagement of the catch 9 with the top of the plate 3. According to the Provisional Specification, the plate 3 may be replaced by a stop adjustable in a vertical' slot.
