Abstract

210,430. Soc. Industrielle des ProcÚdÚs W. A. Loth. Jan. 23, 1923, [Convention date]. Morse and like code multisignal transmitting arrangements.-In the code signalling apparatus shown for signalling ships' bearings, sets of code contacts are arranged on a revolving cylinder 9, quadrants being denoted by the number of dashes and subdivisions of a quadrant by the number of dots. The sets of contacts are respectively connected to the segments of a distributor ring 11 fixed in the ship and co-operating with a magnetized wiper 12 which acts as a compass needle. Hence the electromagnet 4 is intermittently energized by the generator 2 (so long as the switch 14 is closed) in accordance with the required code.
