Abstract

210,207. Pike, F., and White, C. J. E. Nov. 14, 1922. Vulcanizing tyres. - A steam - heated vulcanizing mould for repairing tyres is capable of being adjusted to fit different sizes of tyre while under steam pressure. The mould consists of two portions A, C, between which spacers B of different width may be inserted, the whole being bolted together. Communication between the steam spaces of the two portions is effected by a sliding gland D or by a flexible coupling. Two moulds of different sizes may be combined in a single unit, as illustrated.
