Abstract

210,172. Monnot, J. F. Oct. 27, 1922. Electromagnetic interrupters.-The diaphragm 1 of a. motor-horn is positively operated in both directions by means of two electromagnets 6, 7 mounted on either side of an armature 8, the circuits of the electromagnets being closed alternately by means of an interrupting device which comprises a bell-crank lever 10 pivoted to one end of the rod 9 carrying the armature. Normally a. spring 14 maintains contacts 11, 13 in engagement, so that when the external circuit is closed magnet 7 is energized to deflect armature 8 to the left, the lever 10 being tilted to open contacts 11, 13 and to close contacts 11, 12 in the circuit of magnet 6.
