Abstract

210,148. Daggett, R. Oct. 24, 1922. Razors, safety. In a safety razor, the blade 12 is clamped between a top plate 10 and a slightly crowned lower plate 11 with guard edges 13, the plates 10, 11 having interfitting turned down end portions 15, 18 formed with channels 26. 19 in which are positioned openings 17, 20 adapted to be brought into alignment and to receive the extended ends 24 of a flexible convoluted member 22 which may serve as a handle or may have threaded thereon, convoluted offsets 27 of a handle proper 26. The threaded engagement between the convolutions 27, 22 forms a frictional connection enabling the blade holder to be tilted relatively to the handle 26.
