210,088. Broulhiet, G. Jan. 20, 1923, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Drawings to Specification. Meshing screw pumps.-Two cylinders having similar but handed helices rotate with the helices meshing within an enveloping casing, and cause a fuid to flow axially. The helices may have a constant pitch or be formed of two portions of different pitch. Two such machines may work together, one acting as an air or fuel compressor and the other as an engine actuated by the products of combustion of the exploded fuel. In a device for the hydraulic transmission of power, one machine acts as a pump and the fluid pumped drives a second machine as a motor. The speed relation of the pump and motor may be determined by the relation of the pitch of the helices.
