Abstract

208,718. Nellissen, W. Dec. 20, 1923. Diffusion apparatus for gases. - In apparatus for indicating the presence of foreign gases in air by means of a diffusion cell, a chamber is provided containing a supply of air sufficient to effect several rinsings of the apparatus. As shown, a diffusion cell b is attached to a pressure gauge p and is enclosed in a casing c into which the air to be tested is introduced. A chamber d containing fresh air under pressure has a valve e provided with a needle g which extends into the casing c and is normally acted on by a spring f so that the valve is closed. The rinsing of the, casing c after each test is effected by pressing inwardly a bolt m, which abuts upon a cap h and so operates the valve.
