Abstract

207,190. Hanamann, A. Nov. 16, 1923. Seat-action water-waste preventers. - When the closet seat 8 is depressed, an arm 7 raises a rod 2 against the force of a spring 3. The rod 2 carries a pivoted catch 9 which, in the raised position, engages a hook 11 at the end of the pull-rod 12. When the seat is released the rod 12 is pulled down by the spring and the closet is flushed. The catch is disengaged by means of a pin 16 working in a cam-groove 17 or by means of the engagement of a projection on the catch with a projection on the casing 1.
