Buildings and chambers; air and gases, controlling circulation of.-Apparatus for drying fish and animal and vegetable substances comprises chambers A, A', Figs. 1 and 2, and an adjacent air heater B, the chambers being provided with perforated air inlet and exhaust ducts F, F' and G, G' respectively. The fan D draws cold air through the louvres b in the heater and forces it through the ducts d, d<1> into the ducts F, F<1> in the chambers, the moisture-laden air being withdrawn through the shafts g - - g<3> and the ducts G, G', H, and heated and recirculated through the chambers. Trays made of or containing absorbent substances are placed either in the ducts G, G' or in an enlargement h formed in the duct H.
