Abstract

293,954. Rowe, E. J. June. 9, 1927. Aircontrolling circulation of. - Textiles &c. materials are dried by a circulating current of hot air while supported upon a hand-driven endless-band conveyer in a chamber having a slotted partition 20 defining a compartment 22 which communicates through openings 24 with an exhaust duct 25 connected by a duct 27 to an air circulating fan 28. The fan communicates with a slotted duct disposed in the base of the chamber adjacent to a steam-coil 31 covered by a guard 32. The compartment at the top of the chamber is provided with outlets for the moisture-laden air controlled by interconnected flaps 37, and a damper-controlled duct 33 allows the admission of cold air to the circulating hot air. A dust-collecting screen is disposed in the ducts 27.
