Abstract
206,945. Gardner, J. Aug. 23, 1922. Addition to 200,535. Regulating.-A pilot vane 30 controls the governor vane 9 of the wind motor described in the parent Specification. The pilot vane 30 is mounted on the governor-vane shaft 10 and presents its maximum area to the wind when the governor vane presents its minimum area. It is deflected against the restoring force of a weight 31 or spring. The pilot vane 30, which may be curved, is inclined to the governor vane shaft so as to remain effective when the motor has been turned to a considerable extent out of the wind and is mounted above the windmotor'shaft 3 to avoid any turning effect about a vertical axis.
