Abstract
206,338. Everitt, J. Oct. 11, 1922. Garment racks.-An extensible garment rack comprises a longitudinally slotted tubular fixed guide member a fitted with detachable end caps e, f and a sliding member constituted by two parallel bars g<2>, g<3> connected by end pieces g<4>, g<5>, the upper bar g<2> passing through a hole in the front end cap f and the inner end piece g<4> being notched at h, i to accommodate the edges of the longitudinal slot d in the guide portion a. The outer end piece g<5>, which is extended to form a handle, is detachably secured to the bars g<2>, g<3> for ease of assembly. The bar g<2> is further supported by a cross-bar j at the front end of the guide portion a. According to the Provisional Specification, the cross-bar j may be replaced by a roller and the notches h, i by anti-friction means.
