Abstract

Garment racks.-An extensible garment rack for use in wardrobes &c. comprises a telescopic support on which is mounted a lazy-tongs device carrying suspension-hooks. The support consists of a fixed outer tube a within which is slidable a tube d. and a rod e slidable in the tube d. The lazy-tongs f, to which the garment-hangers g are pivoted, is carried by a support fixed to the end of the rod c and a support i<1> which can slide on the tube a. A bar n, fixed at one end o to the support i and having at the other end a lug p through which the rod e can slide, guides and prevents lateral displacement of the lazy-tongs. A member f<2> is extended above the bar n and carries a roller q which runs on the bar and limits the extension of the apparatus.
