Rollers. - A hollow shaft a for the rollers of napping machines is provided with trunnions b having disc-shaped or cap-shaped extension pieces b<2> which are welded at e to the shaft. The roller is about 2,000 to 2,500 mm. long and about 70 mm. diameter. The ends of the trunnions run in ball bearings c and one trunnion carries a belt pulley d. The parts b<1>, b<2> are made thin to add less weight than the usual stub ends.
