205,735. Struthers, J., and White, A. B. Dec. 14, 1922. Table tops; fiddles.-A ship's table is constructed with a reversible top, one side being fitted with a storm guard or fiddle. The table legs support a pair of end frames 6, 7 connected by a rod 5 on which the reversible centre portion pivots. In the preferred construction the fiddle 10 is removably attached to the underside of thereversible centre portion by screws 12, and may be lifted to allow a tablecloth to be laid. When in use, clamps or projections 11, 20 engage the edges of the table to secure the fiddle, the borders 17, 18 of the end compartments of which are in two parts, pivoted to fold inwardly, and adapted to cover the fixed ends of the table top when unfolded. By removing the end nuts from the rod 5, the table may readily be dismantled and endsockets may be provided to enable two tables to be coupled together by removing an end frame of one table and inserting the exposed end of the rod in one of the sockets of an adjacent table.
