Abstract

205,325. Norballe, H. J. Oct. 5, 1922. Electromagnets.-In an electromagnet having a pivoted armature the pivot pin is made adjustable so that the armature may bear truly on the pole faces. In the form shown, the armature is held between two side-pieces 17 pivotal by the pin 19 to slides 20, which can be adjusted independently by means of screws and nuts 26, 27 and secured by clamping screws 30. The screws and nuts 26, 27 may be replaced by an eccentric and link, or the pin 19 may be carried on a bellcrank lever adjusted by means of screws bearing on a pin.
