Abstract

204,878. Wright, W. H. Sept. 19, 1922. Trouser stretchers. - A stretcher for insertion into the trouser leg comprises side rods A connected by toggle levers B, which are formed with a stop C and are operated by a rod D slidable in a guide Y at the pivot of toggle levers X, X and having a series of holes adapted to be engaged by the pivot pin of the levers E, E. Means, such as a nut and slot, may be provided for adjusting the length of the levers B, and the rods A, D may be jointed to facilitate packing. In a modification, the levers B are replaced by a single lever hinged to one side rod A and having at its other end a pin or roller working in a slot in the other side rod. In another modification, a locking-member, in the form of a plate with oppositely disposed hooked lugs, is interposed between the levers B.
