Packing f r a g i l e articles. - Relates to means f o r packing fragile articles in frames, boxes, or crates, and of the kind comprising cells or compartments formed by sheets b, c, Figs. 1 and 5, interlocked in known manner, projecting pieces b<2>, c<2> forming distance pieces between the structure and a containing box &c. a. The ends of the cells are closed by bars, rods, or strips d, e of cardboard &c. engaging slots d<1>, e<1>, Fig. 6, in the transverse sheets b. In the form shown, one strip d is disposed at the tops of the cells and two strips e at the bottom. Series of strips may be permanently secured to the structure. Base pieces f and top pieces g may be provided. The strips d, e may be disposed diagonally.
