Abstract
204,232. Widlake, H. C. Nov. 4, 1922. Regulating and controlling.-The pressure at a distant point in a gas supply system is regulated by varying the load on a governor controlling the speed of the motor or engine driving the fan of the pressure augmenting plant, under the control of an electric indicator at the station arranged to indicate and if desired record the pressure at the distant point. In the event of the pressure at the distant point falling the pointer of the indicator, which may be of the type described in Specification 157,009, [Class 106 (ii), Dynamometers], completes a local circuit through a relay D. This relay completes a second circuit through an electromagnet F which opens a valve J and permits water to flow from a cistern G into the loading tank C of the governor B which has a slight leak. Any number of relays may be used or the solenoid may be included directly in the circuit with the battery 3.
