Globe-holders. - In a globe fitting for an electric lamp of the kind in which a skeleton guard is used to clamp the globe to the gallery of the fitting, the side members of the guard are non-detachably secured to the gallery and are constructed of upper and lower parts hinged together so that the lower parts may be swung aside to free the globe. A globe c is clamped against the seating of a pendant gallery a by a skeleton guard which comprises a curved lower portion f and side members e, the upper and lower parts e<2>, e<3> of which are hinged as at g. The upper parts e<2> pass through free holes in the lugs a' of the gallery a and engage with nuts j which cannot be entirely removed as the upper parts e<2> are riveted over as at m. A locking-device n is also provided.
