Abstract

Axle attachments.-For securing a laminated spring of a vehicle above the axle, the head d<2> of the centre bolt d is located in a recess in the roof of a housing or frame b which extends over the spring and is formed at each side with a recess b<1> adapted to engage a projection a<2> on the axle a or axle pad a<1> to resist relative fore and aft movement of the spring and axle. The bolt d is formed with a conical portion near its head d<2> which is enclosed in a cap c' located in the top portion of the plate constituting the housing. U bolts e passing through the axle pad a<1> secure the housing to the axle.
