Abstract

203,811. Homer, S. J. March 20, 1923. Petrol cans, detachably securing to running- boards.-Relates to a petrol can holder of the type in which the beaded lower edge of the cam is secured by projections and by spring catches on a frame or member attached to the vehicle. The frame 1 is provided with projections 5, 6 and with one or more upstanding lugs or members 2 to the upper ends of which are secured depending springs adapted to engage the head of the can. A screwed pin 7 with lock nut 8 is adapted to bear against each spring to hold it in engagement with the can.
