Abstract

203,219. Wilhelm, O. [Firm of], and Wilhelm, K. F. Oct. 23, 1922. Addition to 25026/13. Fats and fatty oils, extracting by solvents.-In the apparatus for extracting oil &c. by solvents described in the parent Specification and comprising a jacketed cylinder 1 which is rotatably mounted on hollow shafts 2 having admission and outlet pipes for vapours and liquids, and in which the extract is withdrawn through perforated pipes 3 covered with filtering material, the pipes 3 are provided internally with heating coils 12. The coils may be connected with the pipes 7, 8 supplying and discharging steam to and from the cylinder jacket. Steam may be cut off from any coil by operation of valves 13.
