Abstract

An apparatus for corona effect surface treatment of sheet materials, comprising a metal electrode (2), e.g. a roller, and at least one electrode (5b) sheathed in insulating material (5), e.g. glass, between which the materials (1) to be treated are inserted, characterized in that in the inside of said insulating sheath (5) a cooling fluid is caused to flow around the electrode (5b). The sheathed electrodes are mounted in an arch-like frame (8) pivoted at (9). <IMAGE>
