Abstract

A burner comprises a combustion chamber 1 which has an outlet 9 for the combustion products, a first nozzle 2 for supplying into the chamber 1 a flow 4 of combustible material or oxygen carrier in contact with the inner wall of the chamber, and a second nozzle 3 located in the chamber 1 opposite the first nozzle 2 for introducing into the chamber 1 the carrier or material, the second nozzle 3 being arranged in such manner that the flow 6 issuing therefrom as a free jet forms, with the flow 4, which is in contact with the wall of the chamber, conical turbulent reaction zones 7 and 8. <IMAGE>
