Abstract

Continuous - discharge apparatus with moving containers; stirrers.- Rotary cylinder apparatus for slaking lime or adding liquid to solid materials, is provided with tumblers n, Fig. 3, which agitate and pound the material and keep the inner surface of the cylinder clear of adhering matter. Fig. 5 shows apparatus for use in mixing liquids with solids, in which the solid material is introduced into the cylinder way of a hopper g, the liquid being admitted through a pipe p or through spraying-nozzles. The mixed materials pass over a screen q which allows the finished material to fall into the conveyer r.
