Abstract

The rotor blades 1 can be rotated about the axes of pivots 2 relative to the rotor by a drive motor incorporated in the rotor which drives means 2, 3, 4 for effecting rotation of the blades 1, the drive motor being an electric motor 9 supplied with induced electric current or a fluid-driven motor. A brake 8 may be provided. The motor may be the motor of a pump, compressor or hydraulic turbine or a screw for propelling, supporting or steering ships, submarines or aircraft. <IMAGE>
