Abstract

201,483. Brown, C. June 17, 1922. Bakers' ovens. - A travelling conveyer of the kind wherein, in order to maintain the trays horizontal during their travel around the chain wheels, the trays 1 are connected to the chains 2 at diagonally opposite corners and the chain wheel 3 at one side of the tray is disposed a tray's length ahead of the corresponding wheel at the other side of the tray, is applied to a baker's oven. The conveyer follows a circuitous path through the oven and supporting rails 4, 5, 6, 7 are provided. For bread baked in tins the trays 1 may be replaced by open frames. The chain wheels 8 are equal in diameter to the sum of the diameters of one of each of the remaining pairs of chain wheels and to the distance between the highest and lowest levels of the zig-zag path.
