Sprinklers, automatic.-In fire-extinguishing sprinklers of the type wherein the sprinkler valve is released by the bursting of a hollow glass strut by the expansion of a volatile liquid therein, the glass strut c is supported on arms b on a yoke a and contacts with a metallic cup e holding the glass &c. valve d. The strut has one or more bosses h or recesses engaging corresponding recesses or bosses on the cup. The arms b are non-symmetrically disposed on the yoke and non- symmetrically shaped in cross section so that the cap e and valve d are thrown clear of the water spreader h<1>.
