Reinforced-concrete girders and beams; floors of reinforced-concrete girders side by side; double walls; roofs.-Structural girder units for use in the formation of walls, floors, and the like comprise a pair of reinforced concrete slabs spaced apart and connected by struts having apertures at each end engaging projections on the side edges of the slabs. Metal strips c are let into the longitudinal side edges of the slabs a and have holes for the reception of bolts d, which are also embedded in the slabs and serve as the projections over which the angle-iron struts b are fitted. Adjacent assembled units are connected by fish-plates g fitted over bolts e projecting from the slabs. The metal strips c may be dispensed with by providing anchoring reinforcements, each of which consists of a metal strip having a flat middle portion h and lugs k twisted through 90‹ and inclined to the middle portion. Apertures h<1>, h<2> in the portion h receive the bolts carrying the struts. The lugs k are connected together by the reinforcing wires m and the slab is also provided with longitudinal reinforcement n. When applied to the projecting eaves of roofs, the upper slab overlaps the lower slab, and struts connect the inner and outer edges of the lower slab to intermediate points of the upper slab.
