Abstract

A circuit for monitoring output signals of an energization circuit (1) for the lamps (2) of a traffic control system in order to detect when a conflicting combination of these output signals occurs includes logic circuits (9, 11) to which the energization circuit outputs (3) are coupled via high-ohmic potential dividers (6, 6'), the logic circuit inputs being provided with voltage limiters to limit the voltage thereat to between first and second values. This form of coupling tends to be more reliable than the electro-optical sensors previously used. Figure 1 shows the logic circuits and associated couplings for the green (G) and yellow (Y) lamps of only one signal lamp group, a similar circuit being provided for each lamp group. Each output 0N becomes logic "0" if the corresponding lamps are energised and a NOR operation is carried out on the outputs 0N corresponding to lamps which must not conflict. <IMAGE>
