Abstract

201,159. Grant, R., and Vickery, S. July 20, 1922, [Convention date]. Lawn-mowers. - A saddle-shaped bracket 8 is secured to the side of the frame 7 and is provided with a flattened portion 9 upon which is secured a bearing 10 for the main shaft of an internalcombustion engine. Inverted U-shaped brackets 11, 12 are pivoted to transverse rods 13, 14 and are provided with cross-stays, the cross-stays and the upper parts of the brackets being bolted to the engine case. A stay bracket 15 secured to the handles of the mower holds the bracket 11 in position and a strap 19 secured to the saddle 8 stays the bracket 12. A fuel tank 21 is secured upon a mounting 22 attached to the brackets 11, 12 and is stayed by a strap 23 secured to the top of the cylinder 24.
