Abstract

The invention relates to a roller (3) for conveying copy support sheets (4) to, through or from the heat fixing station of an electrostatic photocopying apparatus, which roller has a plurality of blunt, metallic, conductive surface elements (3a) produced by a toothing or knurling operation. Such a roller is cheap to produce and can be made so that the leading edge of a copy support cannot get caught between the surface elements, and can reliably transport a copy support at a sufficiently low bearing pressure that the copy supports are not indented by the surface elements. <IMAGE>
