Abstract
A control valve assembly for a vehicle braking system comprises a proportioning valve 3 controlling communication between an inlet 1 and an outlet 2, and an inertia- responsive device 15 which is operable to reduce the outlet pressure after the valve 3 has closed. The inertia-responsive device is a pendulum 23 which acts on a valve 15 to operate a servomotor 12 to move a lever 9 to increase the volume of space 2A, thus reducing the pressure. <IMAGE>
