Abstract

The convergent-divergent nozzle 2, e.g. for a solid fuel rocket, is formed by a single one-piece element obtained by three-dimensional weaving of a carbon substrate which is then densified. This element is girdled by two thermal insulation rings 6, 7 which provide suspension and orientation control of the nozzle via elastomer block 13 and actuator 21 respectively. <IMAGE>
