Abstract
PURPOSE: To adequately perform transmission of propulsive power of an engine and isolation of its vibration, by providing a protrusive part at a face-to-face position with a prescribed interval in a washer, arranging the washer to the end part of a coupling member and adequately changing the spring constant of a resilient body in accordance with the propulsive force applied from the outboard engine.
CONSTITUTION: Because of small propulsive force at low speed of an engine, a resilient body 33 is not affected by interference due to a protrusive part 35b of a washer 35 and its spring constant is not changed. On the contrary at high speed of the engine, the resilient body 33 is affected by the interference due to the protrusive part 35b of the washer 35 because of large propulsive force, and deformation of the resilient body 33 is controlled by the protrusive part 35b of the washer 35. As a result, the spring constant of the resilient body 33 becomes higher than its original spring constant in accordance with increase of propulsive force F to display a satisfactory function of transmission also for the large propulsive force F.
